  • The Community Action Council (CAC) serves as Washington County’s federally mandated Anti-poverty Agency and is the designated Community Action Agency. Their primary objective is to empower individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency. Rather than concentrating solely on one aspect, such as food or energy assistance, CAC offers a diverse array of services along the entire spectrum of support. FOOD ASSISTANCE

  • Montgomery County residents are eligible for monthly pickups and must call to schedule each pick up! Pickups must be scheduled no later than 12pm one business day before the distribution. Click HERE to read more about how to receive food from Manna.

    Manna Food Center welcomes all residents of Montgomery County. You only need to provide proof of address. They will not ask about your immigration status and will not report any of your personal information to the government.

  • EduCare Support Services is a nonprofit dedicated to giving back to the disadvantaged in our community. Their Takoma Park Food Pantry program is a “Drop and Go” food delivery method with a “farmers market” style distribution serving perishable and non-perishable food items. The Mobile Food Pantry arrives with a load consisting of between five and eight different products with an emphasis on perishable products such as fresh produce and dairy items. It may also contain snack foods, condiments or any other items that are in abundance.

  • The Interfaith Works (IW) Food Pantry is a choice pantry model, allowing individuals and families to select their food and diapers in a store-like setting. Shopping times are by appointment. The program serves families residing in the following zip codes: 20850, 20851, 20852, 20853, and 20854. Families within these zip codes can access the link to make a weekly appointment HERE. Families outside of these zip codes living in Montgomery County, MD can shop for food after their monthly clothing appointment. Access all of the IW programs HERE.

  • The Union Rescue Mission (URM) Meal Program provides the opportunity to eat in a temperature-controlled dining room and partake in a hot meal, 3 meals per day, 365 days per year, except for lunch on Sundays in order to allow the community and URM staff to attend church services.   • The Lindaben foundation provides access to sustainable healthy foods, wraparound services such as housing support, and pathways towards self-sufficiency programs.

  • St. Mark’s Food Pantry has been operating since 1991 with an all-volunteer team. They provide food at no cost and without any obligation to the homeless, poor, unemployed, senior citizens and children in need.
