They also add special touches like rugs, pictures, small kitchen appliances, side tables, and toys that help to make a house feel more like a home. A Wider Circle’s Essential Support Program provides home furnishings — including beds, dressers, dining tables, chairs, and couches — to anyone in need, free-of-charge. In addition to furniture, they also provide dishes, linens, pots and pans, baby items, and more.
All of the items distributed are in “dignity condition,” meaning they are gently-used and free of rips, stains, or broken pieces. There are no eligibility or referral requirements. All services are by appointment at their Center for Community Service in Silver Spring. Contact the number listed below to make an appointment.
A Wider Circle’s Professional Development Center provides professional clothing, free-of-charge, for you to wear to job interviews or on the job. Available attire includes suits, dresses, blazers, dress shirts and blouses, ties, purses, jewelry, and shoes. Their personal shoppers help you select the right outfits that work best for you. The Professional Development Center is also located within their Center for Community Service in Silver Spring. All services are by appointment.

In 2023, So What Else Baltimore proudly opened its very first Resource Center and Pantry in the heart of Southwest Baltimore. Though most clients are from the area, all Maryland residents are welcome to stop by and pick up from the center.
The Baltimore Resource Center is open every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Items available for pick-up include clothing, shoes, non-perishable food items, diapers, cleaning supplies, hygiene kits and more. Items are distributed on a first come first serve basis while supplies last! To schedule an appointment, please call (410) 429-0657.
So What Else Montgomery County food pantry and thrift store are now located at 4924 Wyaconda Rd, North Bethesda, MD 20852. The Montgomery County Thirft store is open from Tuesday-Thursday from 10:00a-4:00p. Items include clothing, shoes, furniture, diapers, and additional household items. The Interfaith Works (IW) Essential Needs Center in Rockville, MD holds the IW Clothing Center which provides families with limited income access to clothing and home goods at no charge. Shopping at the IW Clothing Center is by appointment only. Only one adult per household may enter the Clothing Center during each appointment time. During their first appointment, shoppers should bring an ID, proof of Montgomery County residency, and anything else needed to show they qualify for said program. Find additional information HERE.

The St. Joseph Clothing Ministry is a part of the Social Concerns Ministry of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
