The SHC English Language Learner Program’s (ELLP) mission is to equip students with language skills, practical information and the confidence they need to be fully engaged, participating members of their communities. The focus of our program is to engage students who are traditionally isolated and difficult to reach - those with lower levels of education and literacy, limited familiarity with/access to technology, and/or an inability to access the traditional ESL system due to lack of transportation or young children at home. We focus our efforts on literacy and low beginner level English learners. Our teachers are professionals with ESL certification .
